Manager Maintenance Control

Department: Engineering and Maintenance

Closing date: 18 June 2013

Job purpose

Ensure the flydubai fleet meets the operational requirements of the flying programme  by managing the activities on Line Maintenance and in Maintenance Control and working with internal and external customers. 

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure the continued operation of the fleet from an engineering and maintenance perspective.
  • Manage line and maintenance control operational activities.
  • Chair the daily/weekly maintenance meeting and issue minutes. 
  • Ensure that workloads are achievable. 
  • Manage the ADD/CDD/MEL levels and ensure that departmental KPI are achieved. Ensure planning for clearance of defects is in place.
  • Ensure network controllers are aware of MEL related items and the impact on the flying programme.
  • Recording & reporting of technical delays. Taking action as required to prevent recurrences.
  • Coordinating recovery of AOG Aircraft.
  • Maintain a manager maintenance control  handover log.
  • Monitor aircraft operation, to ensure that sufficient downtime exists to complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Deputise for the maintenance manager as and when required.

 Qualifications

  •  Part 66 AMEL (or FAA / ICAO equivalent) with ratings on 737NG and CFM56-7B

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance of Boeing 737NG Line and Base activity.
  • Demonstrated supervisory/management experience at a senior level in an operational aircraft maintenance environment.

Training Specialist – Airport Services

Department: Training Specialist – Airport Services

Job purpose

Provide training to all Airport Services staff and focus on specific areas of knowledge and on-the-job capabilities on airport operations including check-in, gate activities, weight & balance, reservations & ticketing and baggage services.   Support regional managers and Head of Airport Services in the development of policy and procedures to improve the department’s performance across all areas. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and coordinate a wide variety of training activities; conduct orientation and refresher training sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new employees within established guidelines and company standards
  • Identify technical training requirements across the network and assist in the development of solutions
  • Compile and update training materials and conduct induction and refresher courses to all stations covering the below  
    • Initial induction on FZ product (EFOS, Radixx, Air.net etc) and airport procedures (GHM supported- Dangerous Goods awareness, Fire safety awareness, Ramp Safety Awareness, Emergency Response Procedures etc)  
  • Support IT in development and implementation MACS across the network
  • Compile and communicate Immigration & Security information. Include document familiarity, fraud and border management
  • Monitor and assist in disruption handling, by familiarizing principles of service and company operating procedures and ensure the same is followed.
  • Maintain uniform standards across the network
  • Provide input into procedure and policy development within airport services and will be called upon to represent the department in various forums
  • Support Regional Managers in the identification of problem trends at individual stations across the network , jointly develop solutions and plan and deliver implementation
  • Work closely with, including a detailed station review document covering all areas of service delivery by location, providing targets, and an improvement path.
  • Development of bespoke training packages to support 3rd party handling agents at network stations. 
  • Support of world tracer setup at network stations

Qualifications

  • University degree and training accreditation
  • Excellent verbal/ written communication in English
  • Communication in Arabic and/or Russian language would be advantageous
  • Knowledge in Mercator Macs system & World Tracer system is advantageous
  • Ability to use PC applications in the preparation of training materials and other documentation

Experience

  • +5 years of experience with an airline or a major ground handler in a training or line training environment. With exposure to some or all areas of airport operations including check-in, gate activities, weight & balance , reservations & ticketing and baggage services, both in a classroom environment and also at line stations
  • Supervisory skills, basic staff management, disciplinary and time management

Crew Records Administrator

Department: Crew Check and Training

Closing date: 24 June 2013

Job purpose

Responsible for organizing, coordinating, updating, controlling and monitoring of crew training records.  

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a robust system of recording validity of legal documents for all crew in EFOS and AIMS. Records must be kept accurate and current to ensure compliance with the GCAA requirements since the authority itself has direct access to view and audit our records for information, verification, etc.
  • Coordinate with HR, Flight Ops and/or In-Flight Departments on the timely issuance of initial licenses and other similar approvals (i.e. PDI Authorization, Airport Passes) to each ab-initio group of crew to ensure they could commence training without delay. 
  • Prepare and create forms in EFOS as dictated by the monthly training plan/schedule.
  • Regularly monitor the training forms in EFOS corresponding to the courses that have been completed for the crew and by the trainers (both internal and external trainers), and follow up its completion or submission as required.
  • Update crew qualification in AIMS, if and when required, after completion of training (i.e. upgrade to trainer, CA or SM, CAT C Qualified, LVO qualified and ETOPS qualified).
  • Ensure that Expiry Report Update in AIMS is regularly and correctly done to reflect the current qualifications status of the crew.
  • Ensure all crew details have been updated accurately in EFOS and AIMS, to ensure that shared information with different departments are correct.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 year experience in a similar role
  • Experience within the operations field of an International Airline would be beneficial
  • Ability to speak / read and write in Arabic would be an advantage

Finance Officer - Payables

Department: Finance

Job purpose

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payments from vendors and assisting with supplier reconciliations. 

Responsibilities

  • Validate and process vendor invoices related to direct operating costs and other operational expenses incurred from its operations to Russia, CIS and other countries.
  • Assist Team Leader Payables in ensuring translation and communication with vendors for these destinations.
  • Assist Team Leader Payables in supplier reconciliations.
  • Assist with Outstation regulatory requirements, setting up processes and vendor payments.

Administration Officer – Post Flight

Department: EFB & Performance

Job purpose

Responsible for assisting the flight operations support teams with system data and  overflight invoicing.  Where requried gather , reconcile , verify & correct the data by causing minimum disruption with near term delivery and resolutions required .  

Responsibilities

  • Support EFB Specialist / Operations Analyst and Aeronautical Services Manager with system data gap analysis, follow up with internal stakeholders and correction
  • Assist Navigation Data controller with weekly / monthly data report
  • Complete initial level overflight flight invoice validation and screening
  • Review post flight paperwork for special projects
  • Provide adhoc analysis to the Manager Flight Operations Support

Qualifications

  • GCSE level

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of basic aeronautical terms would be an advantage
