Who can travel?

  • All passengers are permitted to enter Israel regardless of their vaccination status.
  • Passengers must comply with the visa and passport entry requirements.

Transiting via Israel

  • Transit through Israel is not permitted.

Israel Covid Travel Restrictions

Documents needed for travelling

  • Passengers must complete an Entry statement form at https://www.gov.il/en/service/request-entry-to-israel-covid19 no more than 48 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Israel. They will receive electronic approval from the Ministry of Health and a Green Pass which must be presented before boarding

Health insurance

  • Passengers travelling to Israel (TLV) must have health insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses.
  • This does not apply to:
    • citizens of Israel;
    • residents of Israel with an A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 or B1 visa;
    • passengers who have started their journey in Ukraine.

PCR test and vaccination required for travelling to Iran

  • All passengers and airline crew who have stayed more than 72 hours in a country outside of Israel must hold a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result certificate from a test taken at most 72 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary.
  • The test result must be in English and include the passport number of the passenger.
  • This doesn’t apply to:
    • citizens and permanent residents of Israel;
    • passengers and airline crew with a positive COVID-19 PCR, RT-PCR, SDA or TMA test result certificate from a test taken at least 8 days and at most 90 days before departure of the first flight of their itinerary;
    • passengers and airline crew with a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued by the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Israel at most 90 days before departure of the first flight of their itinerary
    • airline crew staying in Israel for less than 72 hours;
    • passengers with A1-A5 visa;
    • until 10 May 2022, passengers who have started their journey in Ukraine.

PCR test on arrival at Israel

  • Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at their own expense and self-isolation until the test result is ready.
  • Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with Sputnik V or Sputnik Light are subject to a COVID-19 serological test upon arrival.
