Your journey begins at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW). Located 40km away from Kadıköy, 12km away from Pendik and 50km away from Taksim, it’s easy to reach by almost any mode of transportation. Coast down the TEM motorway via taxi or car, and park in the airport’s extensive parking area, which has room for more than 4,700 vehicles. The main terminal is also accessible via public bus or train, which stops off at the nearby Pendik station.
Once you’re there, head straight to one of our flydubai check-in counters. These open three hours before departure, so you can arrive in plenty of time for your flight. Check in with our helpful staff, at the self-service kiosks, or alternatively, online between 24 hours and 90 minutes before departure. Afterwards, take your baggage to one of our bag drops and make your way through security. Once you’re in the departure lounge, relaxing is easy. Enjoy a coffee or a delicious meal at any of the cafes or restaurants before it's time to board.
Gassim’s Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz International Airport (ELQ) sits 27km southwest to the city of Buraydah, which you can get to via private transfer or taxi from the main terminal. Alternatively, hire a car with flydubai to make travelling all the more convenient during your stay.
Sweeping deserts and horizons make up most of Gassim, the agricultural heartland of Saudi Arabia. Trek on camelback across mighty sand dunes, date palms and small towns scattered through the region, or head to the provincial capital, Buraidah, to visit the most chaotic camel market in the world. For a taste of the region’s history, swing by the dusty desert city of Al Dir’iyah, where you can learn about the lives of 18th-century Saudi Royalty. It’s also the perfect place to satiate your sweet tooth - Gassim’s local fare ranges from juicy pomegranate jelly to cinnamon date cake that just melts in the mouth.
