Please note that Goa is offered as a charter flight from select cities only.

Goa is India’s smallest state by area, with a population of approximately 1.8 million. What it lacks in size, however, it more than makes up for in culture and scenery. As a former Portuguese colony, Goa is diverse in terms of both culture and architecture, making it a fascinating getaway destination.

Top things to see and do

  • Marvel at the grand architecture of the 16th century Basilica of Bom Jesus, the resting place of St. Francis Xavier and a testament to Goa’s rich and varied history.
  • Pick one of Goa’s many beaches along its 70km of uninterrupted shoreline, such as Calangunte beach, where you can relax on the sand or take part in a wide range of aqua-sports.
  • Get in touch with nature at the Butterfly Conservatory of Goa, recreated to be like a walk through a tropical forest with more than 130 species of butterfly flying freely.
  • Hunt down a bargain at the Saturday Night Market, where you can find local Indian merchants, live music, and various international cuisines.
  • Savour a delicious and traditional meal by the sea at Pousada by the Beach, a restaurant popular with tourists and locals alike.

Tips for travellers

Take a day trip away from the beach to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India at 310 metres. These spectacular four-tiered falls are surrounded by dense, bio-diverse forests and the plunge pool at the foot of the falls is perfect for a quick dip to cool off.
