Travel restrictions to Kyrgyzstan

Who can travel?
  • Foreign citizens are permitted to enter Kyrgyzstan provided they hold the correct entry documents.
  • Citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia can obtain a visa on arrival.
  • Citizens of Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Tunisia holding a residence visa issued by Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates cannot obtain visa on arrival in Kyrgyzstan until further notice.

Kyrgyzstan Covid Travel Restrictions
 
PCR test required to travel to Kazakhstan
  • All passengers should present a printed copy of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result certificate issued in English, Kazakh or Russian from a test taken no more than 3 days (72 hours) prior to arrival to Kazakhstan.
  • Passengers must have:
    • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Serum Institute of India, Sinopharm or Sinovac at least 14 days before arrival; or
    • a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
  • This does not apply to:
    • passengers younger than 13 years accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
  • Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 test upon arrival.
Visa requirements to travel to Kyrgyzstan
  • Foreign citizens who require a visa to enter the country can either apply for a pre-arranged visa through the Consulate General or the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in their country of departure or obtain an e-visa from evisa.e-gov.kg/ prior to travelling.
Important notice for Tajikistan citizens
  • With immediate effect until further notice, Tajikistan citizens are not allowed to enter, exit, or transit through Kyrgyzstan.
  • This travel restriction does not apply to:
    • Citizens of Tajikistan returning to their homeland.
    • Employees of diplomatic missions of Tajikistan and their family members
    • Employees of diplomatic missions of foreign states.
    • Employees of international organizations and their family members, as well as officials of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan (with the prior approval of the competent authorities of Kyrgyzstan).
