- Why can’t I take a bird or animal on board?
-
We don't permit birds or animals on board because it takes extra
time to clean an aircraft after a bird or animal has been carried
on board. To keep fares low, flydubai must minimise the time the
aircraft remains on the ground between flights. The handling and
cleaning of the aircraft could delay the departure of the aircraft.
Increased time on the ground would ultimately mean higher fares for
all.
- Can I take liquids in my hand baggage?
-
Up to 100 ml of liquids can be taken on board the aircraft.
Check with the departure airport for the latest information.
- Is there any medical equipment available on board?
-
There is a first-aid kit and first-aid oxygen on board the
aircraft.
- Is there food available on board?
-
Yes, a selection of branded snacks, as well as soft and
alcoholic drinks, is available for purchase on board.
- If I am pregnant, are there restrictions on when I can fly?
-
If you are pregnant, we will carry you after the completion of
your 27th week of gestation only if you present us with a medical
report or letter (signed and stamped by a doctor or midwife
considered sufficiently qualified by us) stating the exact number
of weeks you are pregnant, the expected date of delivery, that the
state of the pregnancy is normal and confirming that you are fit to
fly for the duration of the booked flights. The medical report or
letter must be written in English and the date of issuance must not
be more than 7 days prior to the departure date.
We will not carry you if you have completed the 35th week of
your gestation. Any return flight you are planning must be
completed before the completion of your 35th week of gestation.
However, if you are expecting multiple births, such as twins or
triplets, we will only accept you for carriage up to the completion
of your 32nd week of gestation. Any return flight you are planning
must be completed before the completion of your 32nd week of
gestation.
- Can I take a stroller on board the aircraft?
-
Strollers will be checked into the aircraft hold and delivered
to the baggage belt at the arrival airport. There is no charge for
this service.
- What happens if I leave something on the aircraft?
-
All items found on the aircraft will be handed to the handling
agent at the airport who will in turn pass them onto the airport
authority. You should contact the arrival airport's lost property
department.
- Can I travel with fireworks, crackers or party poppers?
-
No, these items are not permitted on board or in the baggage
hold.
- Can I smoke on board?
-
No, smoking is prohibited on all flydubai aircraft.
- Does flydubai allow powered wheelchairs on board or in the aircraft hold?
-
No, powered wheelchairs need to be either transported in an
upright position in the aircraft hold or the batteries need to be
separated and the wheelchair stored flat. As space is limited in
the aircraft hold of a Boeing 737, flydubai is concerned about the
high possibility of damage to the wheelchair and/or its batteries
during transportation.
- What happens if I’m denied travel?
-
If you're denied boarding on a flight for which you have a valid
booking confirmation, you'll be entitled to travel on the next
available flydubai flight, and to receive refreshments and care
appropriate to the time of day and to the duration until the next
available flydubai flight. You'll also receive a refund for the
total amount of your booking as a flydubai voucher.
- What happens if I miss my flight?
-
If you don't make your flight for any reason, no refund or
alternative travel can be offered by flydubai. However, if you're
travelling on a "Free to Change" fare, you'll receive a refund as a
flydubai voucher less AED 365 per person, per flight.
- Why does flydubai not allow unaccompanied minors?
-
Given flydubai's diverse network, flydubai does not believe it
could offer a consistent service at all locations and rather than
compromise your experience, flydubai has decided not to offer the
service.
- Can I change the name of a passenger on my booking?
-
No, name changes are not permitted.
- Does flydubai issue tickets?
-
Once a booking has been paid for, an electronic booking
confirmation is issued.
- Does flydubai offer child discounts?
-
flydubai does not offer child discounts. Discounts are only for
an infant sharing its parent's seat. To keep fares low, the cost of
flying is equally divided across all seats. If child discounts were
offered, the adult fare would have to rise to compensate. Some
countries differentiate taxes for children. So if your child is
more than 2 years of age and less than 12 years of age for the
entire duration of their journey, you should book them as a child.
The fare will be the same as the adult fare, but the taxes may be
lower.

through the call centre.
- I made my booking through the call centre – where can I change or cancel my booking?

Your booking can be changed or cancelled at flydubai.com or
through the call centre.
- I made my booking through a travel agent – where can I change or cancel my booking?
-
Your booking can be changed or cancelled through the call centre
or through the travel agent who made the original booking.
- Can I choose my seat?
-
You can choose your seat from AED 5, or if you want a seat with
an additional 22 cm of legroom, this can be purchased for AED
100.
- How can I get a group fare?
-
More than nine people travelling together will be classified as
a group. Depending on demand, special group fares may be available
on some routes. Group fares can be obtained through the call
centre.
- What type of fares does flydubai offer?
-
flydubai offers three types of fare.
If you know when you're travelling and that you're unlikely to
change your mind, book flydubai's "No Change" fare. Once you've
paid, you can't change or cancel your booking.
flydubai's "Pay to Change" fare gives you the freedom to change
your flight for a charge of AED 100 per person, per flight or
cancel your flight, for a charge or AED 150 per person, per flight
(up to 24 hours before departure).
If you need to be flexible and want a checked baggage allowance
(20 kg) to be included, flydubai offers a "Free to Change" fare for
just a little extra. Opt for this fare and the AED 100 charge will
be waived if you decide to change your flight (up to 24 hours prior
to departure). If you change or cancel your flight less than 24
hours before departure (or don't make your flight) the charge is
AED 365 per person, per flight.
- Can I get a refund on my fare?
-
flydubai does not offer a cash refund. If you decide to cancel
your flight, a voucher will be issued for use towards future travel
with flydubai. Cash refunds are time-consuming and expensive to
process. If flydubai offered cash refunds, fares would have to rise
to cover these processing costs.
- Can I pay cash for my booking?
-
Yes, if you want to pay using cash, your booking will be held
for up to 24 hours so you can make your payment through one of
flydubai's payment partners.
Offering you easy and convenient ways to pay with cash for a small
fee, flydubai's payment partners include UAE Exchange, Emirates
Post, Emirates NBD and Dubai Islamic Bank in the UAE.
For bookings made less than 48 hours before departure, the booking
must be paid for immediately.
- Can I pay using a credit card?
-
Yes, for a small payment fee. If you pay with your credit card,
flydubai will ask to see this credit card at the airport before you
board your flight.
If a credit card is used to pay on behalf of someone else, a
photocopy of the front of the credit card and a photocopy of the
cardholder's passport will need to be presented at the
airport.
If these photocopies can't be presented at the airport, flydubai
will not allow you to travel. This is an extra level of security
designed to protect you.
Please note that a credit card cannot be used to pay on behalf of
someone else travelling to or from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal,
Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Sudan.
- Why could I not get the lowest fare?
-
Because flydubai must achieve an average fare. flydubai fares
rise as more seats are sold. Seats are sold on a first-come,
first-served basis. If you can't get the lowest fare, it simply
means one of your fellow passengers has beaten you to it.
- Other airlines offer a hold baggage allowance. Why is flydubai different?
-
Carrying a checked bag increases fuel burn and ground handling
costs. So, if you help flydubai reduce these costs by travelling
light, flydubai won't make you pay for them. It's only fair.
- What happens if I arrive at the airport and have not pre-paid for my bag(s)?
-
If you have not pre-purchased checked baggage, subject to
availability, you'll be charged a per kilo rate. Checked baggage
can be pre-purchased at a discount up to 4 hours before departure
at flydubai.com or through the call centre.
- What happens if my bag is 1 kg overweight?
-
Subject to hold space being available, you'll be charged a per
kilo rate depending on your destination.
- What happens if I arrive with more than three pieces of checked baggage?
-
Whether you've pre-purchased a 20 kg, a 30 kg or a 40 kg checked
baggage allowance, you can check-in up to three pieces. The
combined weight of all pieces must not exceed your pre-purchased
checked baggage allowance. No single piece should be larger than 75
cm x 55 cm x 35 cm or weigh more than 32 kg. Subject to
availability, additional weight or pieces will be charged at the
applicable per kilo rate, even if the total weight for all pieces
is less than the allowance you purchased.
- How big can my bag be?
-
With any of flydubai's pre-purchased baggage allowances, you can
check-in up to three pieces. Each piece must not be larger than 75
cm x 55 cm x 35 cm or weigh more than 32 kg.
- When is the latest that I can arrive at the gate prior to departure?
-
You must be at the departure gate no later than 45 minutes prior
to departure. If you arrive later than this, then you will not be
able to travel and no refund will be offered.
- What time does check-in open?
-
The flydubai check-in opens 3 hours before any scheduled
departure.
- What happens if I arrive at the gate with an over-sized or over-weight bag?
-
At the airport, over-sized hand baggage can be checked into the
aircraft hold at the flydubai check-in desk. You will be charged
the applicable per kilo rate.
