Who can travel?

  • Open to citizens and residents of Iran
  • Open to citizens and residents* of the United Arab Emirates
  • Open to all visitors subject to meeting the entry requirements

PCR and vaccination documents needed for travelling

All passengers above 12 years old must have:

  • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate in English showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary; OR
  • a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test result certificate from a test taken at most 72 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary.

PCR test on arrival and quarantine requirements

  • Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 test and quarantine upon arrival at their own expense.

E-visa for travelling to Iran

  • E-visas can be obtained before departure at https://evisa.mfa.ir/en/.
  • Passengers must have an e-visa confirmation and return/onward tickets.
  • Passengers can check the status of the e-visas issued by Iran online via https://evisatraveller.mfa.ir/en/request/status/ or scan the QR code on the top-left of the visa page.
  • The visa status must show “issued” for passengers to be accepted.
