What types of fare does flydubai offer?

Our fares are designed to give you maximum benefits and flexibility. With three types of Economy Class fares and one type of Business Class fare to choose from, you can plan your journey with absolute convenience. If you're planning to travel on our codeshare flight, we also have fare types for our partner airlines. Select a fare that suits your budget, and travel with comfort and style.

Why couldn't I get the lowest fare?

flydubai fares rise as more seats are sold. Seats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can't get the lowest fare, it simply means one of your fellow passengers has got there first.

Can I get a refund on my fare?

Unless applicable laws provide otherwise, we don't offer cash refunds. If you decide to cancel your flight, we will issue a voucher to use for future travel with flydubai, depending on the fare type you booked.

Can I choose my seat before I fly?

Yes. You can choose and pre-book your seat at an additional cost. The cost will depend on the seat you select and will be clearly shown on the seat map during your booking.

Can I book a flight if I don’t have a surname or a given name on my passport?

If you are travelling out of, or transiting through, Dubai and your passport does not include either surname or given name, you can fill out the passenger details on your booking as follows:

  • If your passport does not have a given name, enter ‘FNU’ in the first name field.
  • If your passport does not have a surname, enter your given name(s) in the last name field and enter ‘FNU’ in the first name field.

If you are booking a flight to Dubai, you'll need to have both your given name and surname in your passport. You can read detailed guidelines here to help you fill out your passenger details.

Can I change the name of a passenger on my booking?

No. We don't allow name changes.

Can I correct a passenger name on my booking?

If the name on your booking is incorrectly spelt, you can request a correction up to 6 hours before your flight departure by sending us a message through the Contact us form. Select ‘Booking name change’ from the subject drop-down and attach a copy of the passenger’s passport. After submitting the request, please call our Customer Centre on +971 600 54 44 45 and provide your case reference number for assistance.

Important:

  • Fees may apply for name corrections.
  • Complete name change and transfer of booking to another person are not allowed.
  • Name corrections cannot be made if you have already checked in, missed your flight, or flown on any part of your journey.
  • If your booking was made through a travel agent or a partner airline, please contact them directly for assistance.

How can I get a group fare?

A group is classified as ten or more passengers (adults and children) travelling together under a single booking reference. Special group fares may be available on select routes depending on the number of passengers travelling. For group bookings please send us an email on groupreservations@flydubai.com.

Does flydubai offer child discounts?

No, unless it's for an infant sharing a parent's seat. If we offered child discounts, adult fares would have to rise to compensate.

However, there are some differences in taxes for children, so if your child is over 2 and under 12 years (for the whole duration of their journey) you should book them as a child. The fare will be the same as an adult fare, but the taxes might be lower.

How can I get Esaad discount?

If you're an Esaad cardholder, you can get a discount on full fare flights by visiting one of our Travel Shops in the UAE.

Esaad discount is applicable only on return flights originating in Dubai.

Where can I modify my Esaad booking?

If you need to make changes to your booking made with Esaad discount, you can get in touch with our Customer Centre or visit one of our Travel Shops in the UAE.

Do you have student discounts?

No. Currently, we do not offer student discounts.
