We can't offer a consistent service for unaccompanied minors across all our locations, so rather than compromise your experience, we've decided not to offer the service.
Effective January 1, 2016, if you’ve purchased a ‘free to change’ economy class ticket and you don’t make your flight (‘no show’), you’ll no longer be able to obtain a refund.
However, within a period of 96 hours of your original flight departure time you will be given the opportunity to rebook your ticket. In such case you’ll have to pay a penalty of AED 365 plus any difference in fare.
Please note that in the event that your ticket is not rebooked within 96 hours of your original flight departure time, your booking will be void and you will not be entitled to any refund.
If you're denied boarding on a flight for which you have a valid booking confirmation, you'll be entitled to travel on the next available flydubai flight. You'll also get refreshments and a flydubai voucher refunding the total amount of your booking. This does not apply if we refuse to carry you for reasons permitted by our Conditions of Carriage.
You can fly with flydubai as normal up to the end of your 27th week of pregnancy. After that, you can only fly with us if you give us a medical report or letter (signed or stamped by a doctor or midwife considered sufficiently qualified by us) stating:
The medical report or letter must be written in English and the date it's issued must not be more than 7 days before the departure date.
You can't fly with us after end of the 35th week of pregnancy. If you're planning a return flight with us it must be before this.
If you're expecting a multiple birth, such as twins or triplets, you can fly with us up to the end of your 32nd week of pregnancy. If you're planning a return flight with us, it must be before this.
You must be at the departure gate no later than 45 minutes before your flight departs. If you arrive later than this, you won't be able to travel and we won't offer a refund.
An OK to board approval from flydubai is mandatory for:
The approval is required only if you have a paper or an electronic visa and not if the visa is stamped in your passport.
When you've paid for your booking, you can contact one of your local flydubai offices or one of the flydubai travel shops in UAE, India or Pakistan (depending on where your visa is being processed) for the approval. Your outbound and return flights must be booked with flydubai. You will need to submit your original visa, passport copy and booking receipt. Nominal charges will apply.
We don't allow birds or animals on board because of the extra time it would involve in cleaning the aircraft. More time on the ground would ultimately mean higher fares.
You can take up to 100 ml of liquids on board, but check with your departure airport for the latest information.
Yes. There's a first-aid kit and first-aid oxygen on the aircraft.
Yes. We offer a selection of branded snacks, as well as soft and alcoholic drinks to buy on board.
No. Strollers need to be checked into the aircraft hold. There's no charge for this.
If you lose something on board, contact the arrival airport's lost property department.
No. They are not permitted on board or in the baggage hold.
No. All flydubai aircraft are non-smoking.
No. Powered wheelchairs need to be transported upright in the aircraft hold or the batteries need to be separated and the wheelchair stored flat. As space is limited in the hold of a Boeing 737, there's a strong possibility that the wheelchair or batteries would be damaged, so we don't carry them.
No. We don't allow name changes.
We'll issue you with an electronic booking confirmation once your booking has been paid for.
No, unless it's for an infant sharing a parent's seat. If we offered child discounts, adult fares would have to rise to compensate.
However, there are some differences in taxes for children, so if your child is more than 2 years old and less than 11 (for the whole duration of their journey) you should book them as a child. The fare will be the same as an adult fare, but the taxes might be lower.
You can change or cancel your booking through the travel shop who made the original booking or through the flydubai Contact Centre.
Yes. Pre-booking a seat costs from AED 5, or AED 100 for a seat with an extra 22cm of legroom.
More than 9 people travelling together are classified as a group. Depending on demand, special group fares may be available on some routes. You can book a group fare by calling our group reservations team on +971 4 603 3090.
We offer three types of economy fare and one type of business fare.
We don't offer cash refunds because of processing costs, but if you have a Pay to Change or Free to Change fare and decide to cancel your flight, we will issue a voucher to use for future travel with flydubai.
flydubai fares rise as more seats are sold. Seats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can't get the lowest fare, it simply means one of your fellow passengers has got there first.
Yes, you can make a cash payment through one of flydubai's payment partners. Your booking will be held for up to 24 hours to give you time to pay.
If you're booking less than 48 hours before departure, you must pay for your booking immediately.

Yes, you can pay using a credit/debit card. You'll be charged an administration fee for the booking. If you pay with your credit/debit card, flydubai will ask to see it at the airport before you board your flight.
Credit/debit cards can’t be used to pay on behalf of someone else travelling to or from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Sudan.
flydubai is dedicated to making your online payment safe and secure. That's why we've added an extra level of security for payments with Visa or MasterCard. This protects you against unauthorised use of your credit card.
3D secure is a credit card authentication created by Visa and MasterCard for online use and designed to protect your online purchases. This authentication ensures that even in the case of lost or stolen card, your card cannot be misused online without the knowledge of your IPIN code. When completing an online transaction, you must verify your IPIN along with the rest of your credit or debit card details.
Verified by Visa (VBV) is a new service from VISA that lets you shop securely online with your existing Visa Card. Usable only on Verified by Visa sites, this service through a simple checkout process, confirms your identity when you make purchases.
MasterCard® SecureCode™ is an easy to use, secured online payment service that lets you shop securely. This service through a simple checkout process, confirms your identity when you make purchases on the Internet.
After you enter your credit card details you are requested to enter your personal security code. Your financial institution will authenticate the transaction within seconds, and confirm that you are the individual making the purchase.
It is important for you to understand that the 3D Secure pages are controlled by your card issuing bank and not by flydubai. flydubai will not be able to advise you what to enter here. This is confidential information that only you should know. There are clear instructions on the page to inform you what to enter and where.
If you don't yet have a Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode, you must apply for a 3D Secure IPIN with the bank that issued your credit card, as each bank has its own process.
If you have already enrolled and you enter the details incorrectly, your payment will either be:

Your credit card will not be charged. You will be taken back to the payment options page and you can choose to pay with an alternate credit card or through one of our payment partners.

Carrying a luggage in the hold increases fuel burn and ground handling costs. So, if you help flydubai reduce these costs by travelling light, flydubai won't make you pay for them. It's only fair.
If there's enough space in the hold for your bag, you'll be charged a per kilo rate depending on your destination.
If you've pre-purchased a 20 kg, a 30 kg or a 40 kg checked baggage allowance, you can check-in up to 3 pieces.
The combined weight of all pieces must not be more than your pre-purchased checked baggage allowance. No single piece should be larger than 75 cm x 55 cm x 35 cm or weigh more than 32 kg.
Provided there's space in the hold for them, extra weight or pieces of luggage will be charged at a per kilo weight, even if the total weight for all pieces is less than the allowance you purchased.

The flydubai check-in opens 3 hours before any scheduled departure.
You can check in over-sized hand baggage at the flydubai check-in desk. You'll be charged at a per kilo rate.
No. You must use the voucher within 12 months. After this, it can't be used and there's no cash refund.
You'll need to contact the Contact Centre. They will re-send the voucher and PIN to your email address. You’ll need to have your original booking reference.
Yes. You can use your voucher to book through any channel.
Any difference between the fare and the value of the voucher will be saved on the same voucher. You can use it for future travel with flydubai.
Yes, as long as you (the named voucher holder) travel with the other passenger on the same booking.
