Who can travel?

  • Open to citizens and residents* of the United Arab Emirates
  • Open to citizens and residents of Uganda
  • Open to all visitors subject to meeting the entry requirements

Uganda Covid Travel Restrictions

Documents needed for travelling

  • With immediate effect, all passengers traveling to Uganda (EBB) must have:
    • A negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours prior to departure of the first flight of their itinerary; OR
    • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated.
    • This does not apply to:
      • Children under 6 years old
  • Passengers travelling for tourism purposes must have a confirmed safari/tour activity with a registered tour operator.
  • All visitors must have a confirmed return or onward flight ticket.

PCR test required to travel to Uganda

  • All passengers travelling to/from Uganda irrespective of vaccination status or point of origin/destination must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.
  • This does not apply to:
    • Children under 6 years old

Visa on arrival for Uganda

  • Uganda has suspended the visa on arrival facilities for passengers with a regular passport.
