Travel restrictions to Ukraine

Who can travel?
 
  • Open to citizens and residents of Ukraine
  • Open to citizens and residents* of the United Arab Emirates
  • Open to all visitors subject to meeting the entry requirements
  • Passengers who in the past 14 days have been in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, or Zimbabwe are not allowed to enter Ukraine.
  • This does not apply to the following categories of passengers who must self-isolation for 14 days on arrival:
    • citizens and residents of Ukraine;
    • spouses and children of citizens of Ukraine;
    • passengers with a diplomatic passport.
Ukraine Covid Travel Restrictions
 
Documents required for travelling
All passengers travelling to Ukraine must present:
  • a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival; or
  • a negative rapid antigen SARS-CoV-2 test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival; or
  • a COVID-19 recovery certificate; or
  • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that they were fully vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, Sinopharm or Sinovac. The COVID-19 vaccination certificate must be in English or translated in English.
  • The above does not apply to:
    • citizens and permanent residents of Ukraine;
    • passengers younger than 12 years;
    • passengers with a diplomatic passport;
    • merchant seamen;
    • NATO military personnel.
  • Passengers must install the Vdoma application on their personal device.
  • This does not apply to:
    • citizens of Ukraine;
    • passengers younger than 18 years;
    • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm or Sinovac;
    • passengers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival;
    • o passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate.
  • Passengers must have medical insurance to cover medical expenses in Ukraine.
  • This does not apply to:
    • citizens and permanent residents of Ukraine;
    • passengers with a diplomatic passport;
    • merchant seamen;
    • NATO military personnel.
Quarantine requirements for travelling to Ukraine
  • Passengers arriving from or who have transited through India or Russia are subject to quarantine for 14 days.
  • This does not apply to:
    • passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm or Sinovac;
    • passengers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a test taken at most 72 hours before arrival;
    • passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate
