Travelling to/from Saudi Arabia during Hajj season

Below are the travel requirements for passengers travelling to/from Saudi Arabia during Hajj season.

Travel restrictions

  • Non-GCC nationals with Hajj visa can only travel to/from Jeddah, Madinah, Taif or Yanbu. 
  • GCC nationals with Hajj permit, can travel to/from Jeddah, Madinah, Taif or Yanbu. 
  • Passengers holding business, visit, or tourist visa cannot travel to Jeddah, Madinah, Taif or Yanbu between 09 June 2022 and 10 July 2022. 

Entry and exit dates

  • For all nationalities, first date of entry is 31 May 2022 and last date of entry is 03 July 2022. 
  • For all nationalities holding Hajj visas, the first date of exit is 13 July 2022 (after 9 am KSA local time) and the last date of exit is 13 August 2022.

It's your responsibility to obtain the correct visa to enable you to travel on these flights. If you arrive at the airport and don't have the correct documentation you'll not be able to travel and there will be no refund offered.

You can travel to/from Jeddah on Umrah flights (FZ 7000 to 7999) to/from Dubai International (DXB), if:

  • you're holding a valid Umrah visa; or
  • you're a citizen of one of the GCC countries (excluding citizens of Saudi Arabia).

All flights will arrive at and depart from the North terminal at Jeddah Airport.

Each passenger is permitted to carry 5 litres of Islamic Holy Water (Zam Zam water) at no additional cost on their return flight from Jeddah.

You can travel to/from Jeddah on Umrah flights* to/from Dubai World Central (DWC), if:

  • you're holding a valid Umrah visa; or
  • you're a citizen of one of the GCC countries (excluding citizens of Saudi Arabia).

*Flight numbers 5163/5164, 5301/5302, 5367/5368, 5391/5392, 5397/5398, 5427/5428, 5439/5440, 5461/5462, 5485/5486, 5523/5524, 5573/5574, 5603/5604, 5669/5670, 5703/5704, 5879/5880, 5945/5946.

  • Passengers can travel to/from Jeddah on regular flights on Umrah, business, visit or resident visa.
  • All flights operating with regular flight number will arrive at and depart from the North terminal at Jeddah Airport.
  • Each passenger is permitted to carry 5 litres of Islamic Holy Water (or Zam Zam water) at no additional cost on their return flight from Jeddah.

Travel to/from Madinah on regular flights

  • Passengers can travel to/from Madinah on Umrah, business, visit or resident visa.
  • Each passenger is permitted to carry 5 litres of Islamic Holy Water (or Zam Zam water) at no additional cost on their return flight from Madinah.

Travel to/from Yanbu on regular flights

  • Passengers can travel to/from Yanbu on Umrah, business, visit or resident visa.
  • Each passenger is permitted to carry 5 litres of Islamic Holy Water (Zam Zam water) at no additional cost on their return flight from Yanbu.
