Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB)
If your flight is departing from Terminal 2 of Dubai International (DXB), you can check in at one of the flydubai check-in desks or use self-service kiosks.
Check-in desk
Economy Class passengers can use any of our economy check-in desks. And, if you are a Platinum, Gold, or Silver Emirates Skywards member, you can check in at the dedicated Skywards counters.
Passengers travelling in Business Class can use the flydubai Business Class check-in area located near Entrance 3 of the Departures terminal.
We also have a dedicated check-in counter for People of determination. On your arrival at the airport please approach one of our staff members with a Sunflower pin for any guidance and assistance.
Self-service kiosk
You can check in at one of our self-service kiosks between 4 hours and 75 minutes before your flight departure. The interface is available in English, Arabic, Russian, Urdu, French, Farsi, Bengali and Chinese.
How to use the self-service kiosk:
1. Retrieve your booking
- Scan your passport, or the barcode on your booking confirmation, or enter your booking reference manually.
- If you have already checked in online and want to change your seat, you can scan your boarding pass to retrieve your booking.
2. Select extras
- Select your seat, buy lounge access, or Baggage protection.
- You can also add special baggage like sporting equipment or a TV.
3. Print your bag tags
- Enter the number of bags you would like to check in.
- Print your bag tag. A short video will play on the screen to guide you once you’ve entered the number of bags and selected ‘Print’.
4. Receive your boarding pass
- Once you’ve completed check-in, you’ll receive your boarding pass via email, WhatsApp or SMS.
5. Drop off your bags
- Proceed to the Fast bag drop desk to drop off your baggage.
- If you’ve already checked in online, you can go directly to the Fast bag drop desk.
Terminal 3 of Dubai International (DXB)
Selected flydubai flights to and from Dubai operate into and out of Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB).
Emirates Skywards Silver members travelling in Economy Class can check in at the dedicated Silver members’ area at the Economy Class check‑in area.
Emirates Skywards Gold members travelling in Economy Class or Business Class can check in at the Business Class counters located at the Business Class and First Class check‑in area.
Emirates Skywards Platinum members can check in at the First Class counters regardless of their class of travel.

When to arrive at the airport
- Check-in opens 3 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before departure.
- Boarding starts 45 minutes before your flight.
- Boarding gates close 25 minutes before flight departure.
If you arrive late, you will not be accepted onto the flight.
Even if you've checked in online, at some airports you might still need to go to the airport check-in counter for us to verify your travel documents and issue your boarding pass.
