Please keep in mind:
- Your name should be spelled exactly how it appears on your passport.
- Special characters are not accepted.
- Abbreviations and nicknames are not accepted.
- The combined length of your first and last name should not exceed 59 characters, including spaces.
Travelling to the UAE
Passports with a single name on the front page
If you hold a passport with only one name, first or last, and no other additional names on any other passport pages, you will not be allowed entry to the UAE as per the UAE National Advance Information Centre (NAIC) regulations. This is applicable to all nationalities travelling on tourist, visit, work, transit visas or who are visa exempt or eligible for visa on arrival travelling to the UAE, and does not apply to:
- Passengers with a visa (all visa types) issued by the UAE that displays additional names.
- Passengers with their country’s national ID card containing additional names that can be used on the passenger details.
- Passengers holding a travel document with additional names mentioned as “Observations/Annotations”.
Passports with a double first or last name on the front page
