What are Match Day Shuttle flights?

Match Day Shuttle flights are return flights that will operate from Dubai World Central (DWC) to Doha International Airport (DIA) during the upcoming football tournament in Qatar. flydubai Match Day Shuttle flights will operate from Monday 21 November 2022 up to and including Monday 19 December 2022. There is a maximum-stay restriction of next-day return for all Match Day Shuttle flights.

Who can book Match Day Shuttle flights?

You must be a ticketholder to the upcoming football tournament in Qatar if you want to book a return Match Day Shuttle flight from Dubai to Doha. You’ll also need to apply for a Hayya Card so you can enter Qatar. Without a Hayya Card, you will not be able to board a flydubai Match Day Shuttle flight.

When will Match Day Shuttle flights operate?

Will Match Day Shuttle flights operate on 20 November 2022?

There are currently no flydubai Match Day Shuttle flights scheduled to operate on 20 November 2022. Scheduled flights from Dubai International (DXB) to Doha International Airport (DIA) will operate on this date. Please note that you will need a Hayya Card to enter Qatar from 01 November 2022 until 23 December 2022 (although you can stay in Qatar until 23 January 2023). This does not apply to Qatari nationals or Qatari residents or citizens of GCC countries holding Qatari ID or holders of personal recruitment visas and work entry permits.

How many Match Day Shuttle flights will operate each day?

Up to 30 Match Day Shuttle flights will operate each day. However, please ensure that you select a flight that arrives at least four hours before match kick-off. Also, please remember, there is a maximum-stay restriction of next-day return for Match Day Shuttle flights.

Will flights to Doha continue to operate from DXB?

We will continue to operate scheduled services from Dubai International (DXB) to Doha International Airport (DIA) during the tournament. Please note that you will need a Hayya Card to enter Qatar from 01 November 2022 until 23 December 2022 (although you can stay in Qatar until 23 January 2023). This does not apply to Qatari nationals or Qatari residents or citizens of GCC countries holding Qatari ID or holders of personal recruitment visas and work entry permits.

If you want to cancel your flight on a scheduled service and rebook a Match Day Shuttle flight, standard fare rules will apply.

How can Match Day Shuttle flights be booked?

Match Day Shuttle flights can be booked online at flydubai.com by searching for flights from Dubai World Central (DWC) to Doha International Airport (DIA). All flight numbers for Match Day Shuttle flights have four digits and begin with the number 5 (e.g. FZ 5XXX).

Match Day Shuttle flights can also be booked through the flydubai Contact Centre by calling +971 600 544 445 or by visiting a flydubai Travel Shop or one of our travel partners.

What do Match Day Shuttle flights cost?

A return Match Day Shuttle flight can be booked for an adult or child in Economy Class starting from USD 258 and in Business Class starting from USD 998. Both fares are inclusive of all taxes. Infant fares will be 10% of the adult/child fare.

These special fares are non-refundable and they do not include a checked baggage allowance, so you’ll need to carry everything you need in your hand baggage. The hand baggage allowance is up to 7 kg in economy and up to 14 kg in business, however, we recommend travelling light. Only small, pouch-like bags will be permitted inside the stadiums in Qatar (although baggage storage facilities will be available). Please note that baggage storage facilities are not currently available at Dubai World Central (DWC).

What are the baggage allowances for Match Day Shuttle flights?

There is no checked baggage allowance for Match Day Shuttle flights. Hand baggage (up to 7 kg allowance in economy and up to 14 kg allowance in business) is permitted, however, we recommend travelling light. Only small, pouch-like bags will be permitted inside the stadiums in Qatar (although baggage storage facilities will be available). Please note that baggage storage facilities are not currently available at Dubai World Central (DWC).

Can alcohol be purchased from Duty Free at the airport?

No, passengers are not allowed to purchase alcohol from Duty Free at the airport because it is illegal to carry alcohol and other prohibited items on board flights to Qatar. All baggage will be scanned on departure and arrival. If prohibited items are found, they will be confiscated.

Can Match Day Shuttle flights be changed?

Subject to availability, you can change the time or date of your Match Day Shuttle flight only until departure, for a charge of USD 50 and applicable fare difference at the time of change. Please note that the name of a passenger cannot be changed.

Can Match Day Shuttle flights be cancelled?

Once payment has been processed for a Match Day Shuttle flight, the cost of the ticket cannot be refunded.

Can a Match Day Shuttle flight be booked with a connecting flight?

No, Match Day Shuttle flights cannot be booked with connecting flights.

Is a visa required to enter Qatar?

You will need to apply for a Hayya Card to enter Qatar. Without a Hayya Card, you will not be able to board a flydubai Match Day Shuttle flight because you will be denied boarding at check-in. Will ground transportation be provided in Qatar?

The Hayya Card will provide access to free public transport in Qatar from 10 November 2022 to 23 December 2022.

What are the visa requirements to enter the UAE?

The UAE recently announced a 90-day multi-entry visa for Hayya Card holders wanting to travel to Qatar from 01 November 2022.

This multi-entry tourist visa for Hayya Card holders will be made available online through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP) website at a reduced price of USD 27 (AED 100).

The 90-day stay limit will start on the date of issuance of the visa. There is also provision for Hayya Card holders to extend the visa for another 90-day period at the normal price.

Travellers from visa-exempt countries can travel to and stay in the UAE according to current regulations.
