  • Lose yourself in the narrow alleys and bustling bazaars of the old city.
  • Visit the tomb of Iman Ali-ul-Haq. You’ll make your way along a labyrinth of corridors, often lined with prostrated pilgrims, to find the shrines of several saints. You get to the tomb itself through a mirrored, beautifully tiled gateway.
  • Take a break from the activity of the city and go out to the Head Maralawetlands, about a 45-minute drive from Sialkot. As well as being the place where thousands of birds spend their winter, this spot by the Chenab River is a lovely place for a family picnic.
  • Philosopher and poet Dr Muhammad Iqbal was born in Sialkot. The house where he was born is now a national monument. You can see his personal belongings in the small museum and explore the library.
  • Enjoy family fun in leafy Fatima Jinnah Park, also known as Garrison Park, with its green open spaces, lake, funfair and playground.
