Disruptions policy

This Disruptions Policy sets out the options available to passengers holding a confirmed flydubai booking where your flight is cancelled, or there is a schedule change. This policy applies in addition to any statutory or regulatory rights that may apply to your itinerary, as detailed further below.

1. Notification of flight disruption

flydubai will notify passengers of any flight cancellation or schedule change using the contact details (email address, telephone number or SMS) provided to flydubai during booking.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that the contact details provided to flydubai, or to their travel agent where applicable, are accurate and up to date.

2. Eligibility

This policy applies to passengers holding a confirmed flydubai booking where flydubai:

• cancels a flight; or
• makes a schedule change that meets the thresholds set out below.
• For itineraries including connecting flights on flydubai or its codeshare or interline partners, this policy also applies where a schedule change made by flydubai causes the passenger to miss a confirmed onward connection included on the same booking.

3. More than 72 hours before departure

Where flydubai, more than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time:

• cancels a flight;
• changes the scheduled departure time to 1 hour or more earlier; or
• changes the scheduled departure time to 3 hours or more later,

Eligible passengers may:

• be rebooked on another flydubai flight to the same destination within 30 days before or after the original travel date without payment of any rebooking fee, penalty or fare difference; or
• be rebooked on the next available scheduled flydubai flight to the same destination without payment of any rebooking fee, penalty or fare difference.

Where a passenger elects to travel more than 30 days before or after the original travel date, no penalty will apply. However, any applicable fare difference shall be payable.

Where the passenger elects not to travel, any eligible refund, including the value of any unused flight sectors, will be issued in the form of a flydubai voucher.

4. Within 72 hours of departure

Where flydubai, within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time:

• cancels a flight;
• changes the scheduled departure time to 20 minutes or more earlier; or
• changes the scheduled departure time to 1 hour or more later,

Eligible passengers may:

• be rebooked on another flydubai flight to the same destination within 30 days before or after the original travel date without payment of any rebooking fee, penalty or fare difference; or
• be rebooked on the next available scheduled flydubai flight to the same destination without payment of any rebooking fee, penalty or fare difference.

Where a passenger elects to travel more than 30 days before or after the original travel date, no penalty will apply. However, any applicable fare difference shall be payable.

Where the passenger elects not to travel, any eligible refund, including the value of any unused flight sectors, will be issued in the form of a flydubai voucher.

5. Return journeys

Where you have booked a return journey, the above will apply to both sectors when modified or cancelled at the same time.

6. Bookings made through a travel agent or another airline

Where a ticket has been issued by a travel agent or another airline, passengers should contact the travel agent or airline directly.

7. Statutory and regulatory rights
