Your Tanzanian break begins at Dubai International Airport (DXB). It’s easy to reach - head north-east from the city centre and you’ll arrive in around 15 minutes. Public transport is plentiful - you can take the bus or the Dubai Metro which runs to nearby Abu Hail station. Alternatively, you can arrange a taxi or drive yourself and park at Terminal 2’s car park.
There are three check-in options at DXB. The first is our nifty online check-in service, which allows you to check in ahead of your flight and gives you the option of a mobile boarding pass. Self-service kiosks are available at the airport too, along with our traditional counter service. Next, head through bag drop and security, then relax in Terminal 2. Have a coffee, grab a bite to eat and enjoy a dose of retail therapy in duty free.
If you’ve chosen an indirect flight, the first leg of your journey will take you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) in Zanzibar from where you will depart to Dar es Salaam.
Touch down at Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR). It’s just 12 km southwest of Dar es Salaam city centre. If the traffic is good, you’ll be downtown in around 13 minutes. Transfer options are plentiful here - catch a taxi outside the terminal, take the city bus or check out the car hire options.
