You’ll begin your travels to Najaf at King Fahd International Airport (DMM). The airport is only a short distance from the city and is easy to get to. Catch a bus or pick up a taxi. Alternatively, you can drive yourself and park in one of their 5,000 parking spaces.
When you arrive, head to one of our desks and we’ll check you in. If you’d rather get the paperwork out of the way before you arrive , we offer online check-in, too. Once that’s ticked off, drop your bags and head through security to the departure lounge to await your boarding call.
After the first leg of your journey, you’ll land at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Here you can explore a huge variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants while you wait for your connecting flight.
When you land in Iraq, you’ll touch down at Najaf International Airport (NJF). This airport is very close to the city, so it won’t take you long to reach your destination. Take a taxi, hop in a minibus or catch a coach right into the city centre.
Sitting right on the edge of the desert, the shrine city of Najaf is a centre of religious importance. Experience this hot spot of cultural importance for yourself and see the glistening Imam Ali Mosque. Feast your eyes on its dazzling dome, which is covered in 7,777 pure gold tiles. Framed by two 35 m high minarets, each coated in 40,000 gold tiles, this is a sight you won’t want to miss. After taking in the sites, enjoy a local shopping experience when you visit Souk Elchibeer. Explore stalls piled high with spices, pottery, perfumes and carpets – the perfect place to buy a memento from your trip.
